Worcester Railers HC Fans!
Eric Lindquist checking back in! It was great seeing a lot of you guys at the ugly sweater party at Mezcal…. a lot of new faces which is a good sign… and I thought the Founder’s Circle jerseys looked sick! I can’t believe it is already mid-December…..October, 2017 will be here before you know it! Now, let’s get you all caught up on all things Worcester Railers:
Members Update
As of 10am on December 16, we currently have 1054 members on board for our inaugural season – which means the Founder’s Circle is all wrapped up! However, the Railers Foundation has teamed up with the Worcester Telegram & Gazette Santa Fund for a Holiday Power Play! For every new membership deposit between now and Jan 18, the Railers Foundation will donate $200 to the Santa Fund…. the goal is 500 new memberships for a $100,000 donation! For more information on the Holiday Power Play please click HERE. As of right now the Railers Foundation will donate $20,800 to the Santa Fund ($10,000 initial donation + the Holiday Power Play) – ALSO… we are working on our next members only event for January – will keep you posted!
Select A Seat
Just a reminder that the Select A Seat Event will be held on February 18 at the DCU Center. Click HERE for the full details. Just a reminder…. All former Sharks season ticket holders will have the opportunity to reserve their old seat locations. More info to follow after the New Year!
Worcester Hockey Alum
Happy Birthday to Yanni Gourde who turned 25 years old on December 15 – Yanni is still putting up big points with the Syracuse Crunch. Ashton Rome stopped by the offices last week to check out the new digs after he began the season playing in Europe. Romer is back home in Methuen, MA looking for his next gig. Daniel Ciampini has 21 points in 22 games with the Manchester Monarchs and is a teammate of Danny Doremus. Petter Emanuelsson has 10 goals in 25 games with Lulea HF in Sweden. Nick Schaus is playing in Czech with Pardubice HC.
Around the ECHL
The Toledo Walleye have a .826 winning percentage to lead the ECHL while the Norfolk Admirals has a .250 winning percentage which is at the bottom of the pile…. The Brampton Beast have won five straight games while the Indy Fuel have lost eight straight… The Utah Grizzlies are just 2-10-0-0 on the road this season…. former Sharks Peter Sivak and Chad Costello are tied for the ECHL lead with 37 points a piece…. former Shark Greger Hanson leads the ECHL with 117 shots on goal….Rapid City is 0-5 in overtime this season….Norfolk is 1-41 on the power play at home this season….Allen has allowed eight shorthanded goals….Orlando averaged over 37 shots per game to lead the ECHL… and finally… the ECHL average attendance is 3,966 so far this season.
