Railers Month of Giving

During the month of September, all Railers full-time employees have the opportunity to work with a charitable organization of their choosing within Central Massachusetts. The Worcester Railers Foundation will make a $1,000 donation in the employees' name to their selected organization. In addition to monetary donations, the Railers front office will be working volunteer hours at their selected non-profit, offering a hands-on contribution while demonstrating direct involvement in the community.

Local non-profits include organizations promoting healthcare, service animals, educational resources, youth hockey, court services, among others.

Drew Micheli - Ricky Inc.

Drew, Youth Hockey Specialist, chose Ricky Inc. as his charity of choice for the Worcester Railers Month of Giving.

In addition to his $1,000 donation, Drew will be assisting in their next backpack drive, where he will be packing backpacks filled with essential personal needs items and clothing for people suffering from homelessness, mental health issues, and substance use disorder.

Hayley MacDonald - Ellie Fund

Hayley, Group Event Specialist, chose Ellie Fund as her charity of choice for the Worcester Railers Month of Giving.

Tim Foley - TBD

Jack Dwyer - Alzheimers Association

Jack, Business Development Specialist, selected the Alzheimers Association as his non-profit of choice for our Month of Giving.

In addition to his $1000 donation, Jack will be a team captain and a participant at the Worcester County Walk to End Alzheimers on October 18th.

Paul O'Leary - Auburn Youth Hockey

Paul, Manager of Corporate Partnerships, selected the Auburn Youth Hockey, via the Auburn Booster Club, as his non-profit of choice for our Month of Giving.

Griffin King & Josh DeMaio - Friendly House

Griffin, Community Relations Coordinator, and Josh, Manager of Ticket Sales, selected Friendly House as their non-profit of choice for the Railers Month of Giving.

Connor, Sr. Director of Ticket Sales, selected Why Me & Sherry's House as his non-profit of choice for our Month of Giving.

In addition to his $1000 donation, Connor will attending and volunteering at Sherry's Bowl on October 3rd. The bowling event is a benefit for local children with cancer and their families.

Michelle, Membership Services Coordinator, selected Last Hope K9 Rescue as her non-profit of choice for our month of giving.

In addition to her $1,000 donation, Michelle will help transfer dogs from quarantine to their new foster homes. Along with joining the transport team for the day, she will continue volunteering as a helping hand at Last Hope K9 adoption events across Massachusetts.

Joey, Sr. Director of Marketing, selected the Worcester Renegades as his non-profit of choice for our month of giving.

Jake, Business Development Specialist, selected South Worcester Neighborhood Center as his non-profit of choice for our month of giving.

Morgan, Group Events Specialist, selected Boomer Esiason Foundation - Team Boomer as her non-profit of choice for our month of giving.

Morgan, Partnership Services Coordinator, selected Food Rescue US - Boston as his non-profit of choice for our month of giving.

David, Team President, selected the Worcester White Hawks youth hockey program as his non-profit of choice for our month of giving.

Steve, Sr. Manager of Business Strategy, selected St. Antoine Residence as his non-profit of choice for our month of giving.

In addition to his $1,000 donation, Steve spent a day volunteering at the residence helping with their activities department. In the morning, they drank coffee and watched hockey highlights, and in the afternoon Steve helped call Bingo for the residents!
