About The Railers
Founded in 2016, the Worcester Railers Hockey Club is the proud ECHL affiliate of the New York Islanders (NHL). With a community first approach, the Worcester Railers HC was recognized by the ECHL by receiving the league-wide Community Service Award in 2018-19, 2019-20, and 2020-21. The Railers aim to provide affordable family fun in downtown Worcester.
New York Islanders and Bridgeport Islanders
On April 28, 2017, Worcester Railers HC announced that the club reached an affiliation agreement with the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League (NHL). Worcester joined the Bridgeport Islanders of the American Hockey League (AHL) as the primary minor league affiliate for the Islanders organization.

About the Bridgeport Islanders
Bridgeport joined the American Hockey League in 2001 as the Bridgeport Sound Tigers before changing their name to the Bridgeport Islanders on May 19, 2021. The ECHL is the Premier “AA” Hockey League with 26 teams in 19 states and two Canadian provinces. There have been 676 players who have gone on to play in the National Hockey League after starting their careers in the ECHL, including 14 who have made their NHL debuts in the 2019-20 season. The ECHL has affiliations with 25 of the 31 NHL teams in 2019-20, marking the 23rd consecutive season that the league had affiliations with at least 20 teams in the NHL. For over three decades, the DCU Center in Worcester, Massachusetts has been recognized as the gathering place for people to experience the finest in entertainment, sporting events and public functions. Managed by ASM Global and hailed as one of the most successful entertainment and convention facilities in the nation, the DCU Center opened its doors in September 1982 with the legendary Frank Sinatra inaugural concert. Since then, acts of all musical genres have found their way to the arena stage.
The arena is home to the Worcester Railers HC and features annual appearances of the top family shows including Disney On Ice and the Harlem Globetrotters. The DCU Center also plays host to a variety of sporting and entertainment events including NCAA Hockey, Holy Cross hockey and basketball, Professional Bull Riders, MIAA High School Basketball Championships, Monster Trucks and more.

Fidelity Bank Worcester Ice Center
The Fidelity Bank Worcester Ice Center is a state of the art multi-use dual rink facility located in the heart of the Canal District. The Fidelity Bank Worcester Ice Center features two sheets of ice, the Rail Shop, Bay State Brewing Company, Reliant Medical Rehabilitation, Bando Performance, and Profilers Edge Pro Shop. The $18 million facility is the practice facility for the Worcester Railers HC and is also home to several colleges and universities, high schools, and youth hockey organizations.

The Rail Shop
Located in the Fidelity Bank Worcester Ice Center, the Rail Shop is the official shop of the Worcester Railers HC. Shop official apparel, novelty and more at the store or online.
