Ticket to Read

Worcester Railers HC, in collaboration with the Worcester Bravehearts, brings the Ticket to Read program to more than 15 local schools each year to promote reading to students. Railers staff, TRAX and players visit students in the classroom to read stories.  The program provides Railers or Bravehearts tickets and prizes to those who submit monthly reading logs. To date, Ticket to Read has reached more than 40 local schools and has enrolled over 1,600 students who have read 18,000 books and counting!

In addition to school visits, the Railers HC has organized two school library renovations at Lake View Elementary School and Vernon Hill Elementary School. The renovation project included redesigning and painting the library to create a fun and educational space for students to study and read.
