Worcester Railers HC Announces Two Front Office Additions

David Gwozdz named Director of Retail and Merch. Op.,Victoria Martinelli Team Accountant

Worcester, MA – The Worcester Railers Hockey Club (@RailersHC), proud ECHL (@ECHL) affiliate of the New York Islanders (@NYIslanders), and Railers HC President Michael G. Myers officially announced today that the club has hired David Gwozdz as the Director of Retail and Merchandise Operations and Victoria Martinelli as the Team Accountant.

David Gwozdz joins the Worcester Railers HC as the Director of Retail and Merchandise Operations after spending the last two years working for Delaware North at the TD Garden as the Assistant Retail Manager. While at the Garden, Gwozdz was responsible for purchasing and receiving Boston Bruins and Boston Celtics apparel, hiring, training, and managing all store supervisors and associates.

The Ludlow, MA native previously worked as the Merchandise Manager for the Worcester Tornadoes (CAN-AM) for two years before joining the Worcester Sharks (AHL) in 2006 as the Merchandise Manager. He worked for the Sharks for nine seasons as the Merchandise Manager, in addition to Finance Manager in his ninth season with the team.

David is a graduate of Western New England University, where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 2004.

Victoria Martinelli joins the Worcester Railers HC as the Team Accountant after spending the last three years working for Brace Integrated Services, Inc., where she supported the accounting and administrative efforts.

The Grafton, MA native worked as the Bookkeeper and Office Manager for Diamond Thermal Systems, Inc., before it was acquired by Brace Integrated Services. After the acquisition, Victoria was promoted to Accounting and Administration support, where she worked closely with the corporate office CEO, maintained accounts receivable and accounts payable, and oversaw all financial matters.

Victoria is a graduate of Johnson & Wales, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting in 2013.

“The Railers are excited to add Victoria and David to our front office staff, which continues to steadily grow,” said Myers.  “Victoria’s in-house presence is essential to our success as a business, while David’s retail experience will help our Pro Shop at the Worcester Ice Center flourish. We look forward to them both becoming a huge part of the Railers experience as we get set for October 14 at the DCU Center.”

The Worcester Railers Hockey Club, a proud member of the ECHL, will play their inaugural game at the DCU Center on Oct. 14, 2017 vs. the Manchester Monarchs.
