Worcester Railers HC names Paul Harris Community Relations Coordinator
Railers getting ready for ECHL action at the DCU Center in Worcester
Worcester, MA – The Worcester Railers Hockey Club (@RailersHC), proud member of the ECHL (@ECHL), and Railers President Michael G. Myers officially announced today that the club has hired Shrewsbury, MA native Paul Harris as Community Relations Coordinator.
Paul Harris joins the Worcester Railers HC after spending the previous four years as an intern with the AHL club in Springfield, MA where he worked closely with the game operations staff and front office.
“Paul is a well-rounded individual that has a lot of experience giving back to the community for a young professional,” said Myers. “He is another local product that I know will represent the Railers well at events throughout central Massachusetts and beyond.”
The 21-year-old native of Shrewsbury, MA graduated from Western New England University with a bachelor’s degree in Sport Management and Marketing where he served as vice president of the Sport Management Association. Harris recruited fellow students to engage in the Springfield community while working for the Center for Civic Engagement and volunteered his time at several community events which included Project Favela in Rio de Janeiro.
Harris is a graduate of St. John’s High School in Shrewsbury where he served as the Co-President of the Leaders of Tomorrow volunteer and leadership group.
The Worcester Railers Hockey Club, a proud member of the ECHL, will play their inaugural game at the DCU Center on Oct. 14, 2017 vs. the Manchester Monarchs.
