Railers Host Kids Takeover Game

Kids are taking over the Railers game on Sun., Oct. 23rd!

Join the Worcester Railers for the team’s first-ever Kid’s Takeover Game, presented by M&T Bank and benefitting CASA Project Worcester County. The Railer’s youngest fans will be broadcasting, hosting, providing color commentary, and leading the charge in entertainment on Sun., Oct. 23rd. 

Doors open at the DCU Center at 2pm; puck drops at 3:05 p.m.. The afternoon will be packed with youth-focused activity stations, fun music, performances, and the first of seven collectible Worcester Pro Hockey 25th Anniversary posters.  

Event Details

  • Who/What: Kids are taking over the Railers game! Family-friendly activities and entertainment.
  • Date/Time: Sunday, October 23rd. Doors open at 2 p.m. Puck drops at 3:05 p.m.
  • Where: Parking is available at the Mercantile Garage, located at 100 Front Street. There are also several other public parking garages within close proximity.

VIP Guests

The afternoon will benefit CASA Project Worcester County, a non-profit directly supporting and advocating on behalf of youth in the foster care system. In-game host, Adam Webster will be joined on the ice by a special young Railers fan from CASA Project.

Are You the Next Kid Broadcaster?

Does your child have dreams of being the voice of the Railers? Three talented, young fans will have an opportunity to join the broadcast team during the game and provide color commentary and play-by-play live on 98.9 FM NASH Icon, the Worcester Railers Radio Network, and FloSports TV. 

To enter, please share a video of your child ‘calling a game’ or providing commentary. Videos should be less than one minute in length and should be fun! Please tag the Railers with your video on social media (IG: @railers_hc / Facebook: @RailersHC & Twitter: @RailersHC). The contest is open to youth ages 13 and under. The winner will be selected by a VIP guest at a later date.
