What’s up everyone! Welcome back to another Community Express Community Recap! It was a busy week in the community. We had a lot of fun! We went to Flagg Street Elem., Paxton, Harvard University, Vernon Hill Elem., May Street Elem., and McGrath Elem. If you see us in the community, be sure to take a photo and tag @Trax_RailersHC on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook! We’ll share our favorites.
Friday, June 8 – Flagg St Elem (Worcester)
We brought the Railers Shootout to Flagg Street Elementary last week for their end of the year Spree Day! Each student got the chance to test their shot and win a prize!
Saturday, June 9 – Paxton Days
Trax and members of the Railers HC front office tabled at Paxton Days last Saturday. This town-wide festival brought over 3,000 people to the city center. We brought our prize wheel and it was a huge hit!
Sunday, June 10 – Harvard University
Trax visited Harvard University last Sunday for the Special Olympics of MA Summer Games.
Tuesday, June 12 – Read In Our City Celebration
Read in our city week was June 11-15th. Worcester Reads and the Worcester Railers HC teamed up on a book drive last month which collected over 300 books! Altogether, Worcester Reads collected thousands of books and distributed them to various Worcester Public Schools. We read some of these to students at Vernon Hill, McGrath, and May Street. We found some great books about dogs and trains.
In case you missed it, the newest episode of Tuesdays With Tom came out the other day, you can view it HERE. Also, the Railers HC announced their protected player list which can be seen here. Finally, if you missed last week’s Community Express, check it out.
