Worcester Railers Hockey Club donates $35,000 to the Worcester Telegram & Gazette Santa Fund

Worcester, MA – The Worcester Railers Hockey Club (@RailersHC), proud member of the ECHL (@ECHL), and Railers President Michael G. Myers officially announced today the Worcester Railers Foundation donated a total of $35,000 to the Worcester Telegram & Gazette Santa Fund for the Holiday Power Play promotion.

The Worcester Railers Foundation donated $10,000 to the Santa Fund at the Legendary Evening Featuring David Ortiz event at Mechanics Hall on Nov 11 to kick off the holiday power play promotion.

In addition, the Railers Foundation made a $200 donation to the Worcester Telegram & Gazette Santa Fund for each $50 deposit for a Railers HC membership from November 11, 2016 through January 18, 2017.  Each new Railers HC member had their name appear in the Worcester Telegram & Gazette as a donor per deposit (if a member purchased four memberships – an $800 donation was made in their honor).  The Holiday Power Play raised another $25,000 for the Santa Fund for a total $35,000 donation.

“I would like to thank all of our new members that came on board during the promotion,” said Myers. “The Telegram and Gazette Santa Fund is a terrific cause and the Railers will continue to support our local community as we approach our opening night in October.”

With just a $50 per seat deposit, memberships can be purchased by calling the Railers front office at 508-365-1750 or by visiting www.RailersHC.com.  Full season memberships start at just $432 for 36 regular season games at the DCU Center.
