- Heart of the CommonWealth

Worcester has always been at the heart of Massachusetts.
Geographically, it sits at the center of the Commonwealth. And at the center of Worcester stands the DCU Center - the home of the Railers and a gathering place for thousands of people throughout the year.
But the true heart of Worcester isn't a place on a map. It's the people.
The families who fill the stands. The businesses that support their city. The kids who dream of one day wearing the Railers jersey. The first responders, teachers, tradespeople, volunteers and neighbors who make Worcester what it is. They are the heartbeat of this community, and they are the reason the Railers exist.
The Heart of the Commonwealth jersey is a tribute to Worcester; not just where we play, but who we play for.
Worcester is the heart of the Commonwealth. The DCU Center is the heart of Worcester. And the community is the heart of the Railers.
Presenting our new Heart of the Commonwealth Alternate Jerseys!

We'll be wearing these through select Sunday dates during the upcoming season. Learn more about our new threads below!
Blackstone Blue: The foundation of the Railers identity, Blackstone Blue is the same blue featured throughout our primary home and away jerseys and specialty designs like the Monkey Wrench jersey.
Route 9 Red: Representing Worcester’s place at the heart of the Commonwealth, Route 9 stretches across Massachusetts, connecting communities from one end of the Commonwealth to the other, with the DCU Center sitting just off Route 9 and Worcester positioned at its epicenter.
Tuckerman Tan: Inspired by Tuckerman Hall, one of Worcester’s most recognizable and historic landmarks, Tuckerman Tan brings a piece of the city’s character into the jersey.
Heart & Laurel: The heart and laurel are instantly recognizable symbols of Worcester, prominently featured in the city seal. Together, they represent Worcester’s identity and reinforce the city’s place as the Heart of the Commonwealth.
City Seal: The Worcester city seal is proudly featured on the shoulders as a symbol of the city we call home. It’s a reminder that when the Railers take the ice, they’re representing more than a team, they’re representing Worcester.
Secondary Logo Color Scheme: The secondary logo incorporates Route 9 Red as a nod to Worcester’s place at the heart of the Commonwealth. Route 9 runs directly through the city and connects Worcester to communities across Massachusetts.
New ‘W’ Crest: The new “W” crest puts Worcester at the forefront of the jersey. It represents a team that plays for the city and region behind it.
Heart of the Commonwealth Collar: Sewn into the collar is “Heart of the Commonwealth,” reinforcing the idea that Worcester’s strength comes from within.
Striping Details: The red stripe is inspired by the iconic red stripe found on vintage candlepin bowling pins, a nod to a game invented right here in Worcester. It’s a subtle piece of local history woven into the jersey’s design.
