What’s up Railers fans!? Only 17 days until Railers Hockey returns to the DCU Center on October 20th! Who’s excited!? Welcome back to another Community Express Community Recap! We’ve been staying busy here…things are only going to pick up as we get closer to October! Thursday, 9/27 – United Way Rally
On Thursday, Trax and I went to St. Gobain for the United Way Annual Rally! We saw our mascot friends, Jake the Lion, Arthur, and Paws! This event raised over $1,000 for the United Way! Way to go!
Saturday, 9/28 – Teddy Bear Clinic
Kids were invited to Umass Memorial Hospital on Saturday for the annual Teddy Bear Clinic. This expo gave kids the chance to bring in their own teddy bears for a free check up! Speaking of Teddy Bears, don’t forget to bring your own teddy bears for our first ever Teddy Bear Toss on 12/15.
Sunday, 9/30 – Umass Cancer Walk, SOS Parade, Coney Island
Sunday was a crazy day! We kicked off the morning back at Umass Memorial for the 20th annual Umass Cancer Walk and Run. Trax took photos and passed out giveaways to all groups in attendance!
Later, we participated in the Spirit of Shrewsbury Fall Festival Parade that took place on Maple Ave. Trax helped us promote opening night and member of our office passed out hats and trax cards!
To wrap up the day, we drove to Coney Island to make an appearance at their 100th year celebratory block party! There was a line out the door for the entire duration of the event! Here’s to 100 more, Coney Island!
