Well, we survived the 11 game homestand.
Thank you to everyone that came out and supported us throughout the months of January and February! We had a blast. An 11 game homestand is no easy task, and you guys did a great job of showing up and packing the rink every night. I am just now getting the pink out of my hair from Pink in the Rink. It only took three bottles of shampoo. Stay tuned for a link to the eBay auction for select Pink in the Rink player jerseys. Coming soon. Now, we will pack up and head on over to the sunny state of Florida, where we will be taking on the Orlando Solar Bears, a.k.a. the team with a polar bear that wears sunglasses as their mascot. Polar bears in Orlando? That doesn’t seem legit. Polar bears can only survive in severe climates in countries located within the Arctic Circle, and yes, the United States is included, but it’s Alaska, not Florida. So, a polar bear in Orlando, Florida makes no sense.
Anyways, we are playing the Solar Bears. We face off with them on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. In fact, those three games are just the beginning of our SEVEN game road trip. Upon this journey the mighty, mighty Railers will invade five cities—Orlando, Glens Falls, Reading, Manchester, and Brampton.
Here is the low down on dates and travel:
Tuesday, we depart from the Woo and fly to Orlando. We party there for four days before flying with the birds back home. The Railers will return to Worcester on Sunday before heading to Glens Fall, NY to take on the Adirondack Thunder on the 21st. From New York, the team will travel to Pennsylvania for a bout with the Reading Royals, sadly no Philly cheesesteaks this trip, although, to be honest, they were a bit overrated and I was slightly disappointed. The Railers will return to Worcester and head to Manchester on the 24th. The seven-game road trip will finally end in Brampton on the 27th vs. the Beast.
As you know we are eight points out from a playoff spot, so, these upcoming games are important! You won’t want to miss the action. I’ll be harassing everyone with my trusty handy dandy camera. You can count on a nice sun drenched video recap of our trip to Orlando upon returning. I will also be giving you all the behind the scenes footage you guys love, including bizarre FB Live videos of Eric and I scrounging through the late-night streets looking for a sketchy establishment willing to serve us food, or something that resembles it.
You can catch all the GAME ACTION on 98.9 Nash Icon and ECHL TV! And don’t forget the Railers Tavern broadcasts ALL the away games, so, you have no excuse to miss a game.
If you aren’t following our social media accounts by now, I don’t know what is wrong with you, but here they are:

The Railers will be back at the DCU Center on March 2nd for Marvel night and will be rocking a specialty Marvel jersey.
Don’t be surprised when we return with sweet tans.
Peace,
Tom
