Community Express (June 28-July 5)

Community Express (June 28-July 5)

by Paul Harris

Hello everyone,

It’s time for another Community Express update! I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend. Trax and I went to six events this week.

Wednesday, June 28th Shrewsbury Public Library

Last Wednesday, Trax and I went to the Shrewsbury Public Library for their Summer Reading Carnival! It was a great time. We even got to meet Elsa and Anna from Frozen, as shown below!

Thursday, June 29th Auburn Fireworks

Last Thursday, Trax and I drove down to Pappas Field to hang out with the Auburn community. There were thousands of people there! They had live music, carnival games, food trucks, and more. Trax won an inflatable emoji by ringing the bell in the hammer game! What a beautiful night.

Friday, June 30th Ecotarium

This was one of the largest events all year! Thousands of kids came to the Ecotarium last week for the Free, Fun, Friday event. Our front office had a tent by the dinosaur statue and gave away a bunch of Railers items to the kids. Trax came out later in the day to meet with everyone, especially those in line to go on the train.

Friday, June 30th Worcester Fireworks

Trax and I concluded the day at East Park in Worcester. Our appearance was cut short due to rain but we were still able to interact with numerous families!

Saturday, July 1st Acton Fireworks

Trax and I drove to Acton in the Railers Raptor on Saturday to help them celebrate the holiday. We arrived at Nara Park and it was gorgeous. Trax was able to walk around the kid’s area and the lake. The kids there were so excited to see Trax.

Saturday July 1st Rutland Fireworks

Our last event this week was a community event at the Town Common in Rutland. Before their fireworks show, they had a road race and lip sync contest. Trax arrived just in time for the lip sync battle! He sadly did not win.

All aboard the community express!
