Community Programs
At the Worcester Railers, we believe in being a community-first organization. This is our mission and the guiding light that helps us to navigate each day. We strive to make the sport of hockey inclusive, to promote education, help those struggling, to lead by example and mentorship, and to roll up our sleeves and lend a hand.
This philosophy has not only been embraced by team leadership, but also staff and players. Whether shopping for Thanksgiving meals, delivering pallets of food to local pantries, bringing gift baskets to cancer patients, reading to school children, helping kids learn to skate, or repairing playground equipment, we never struggle for volunteers.
Our sponsors and fans embrace this mantra as well and often contribute funds and volunteer alongside us. The Railers are a fundamental part of the Worcester community and we feel a responsibility to give-back to the region that continuously shows up to support our team.
The Railers made an even greater impact during the 2023-24 season. New programs were implemented, signature programs refined, and total impact increased. More than a quarter-million dollars were donated to non-profits throughout the region, and we are proud that thousands of people directly benefited from the impact of this hockey team.
