One Month Out!

The Railers HC begin play on October 14 at the DCU Center in Worcester

Worcester, MA – The Worcester Railers Hockey Club (@RailersHC), proud ECHL (@ECHL) affiliate of the New York Islanders (@NYIslanders) has announced some of the festivities to take place on opening night on Saturday, October 14 at the DCU Center vs. the Manchester Monarchs at 7:05pm.

Less than 75 lower bowl tickets are available for October 14 and the Railers are anticipating a sellout opening night.  Please call the Railers front office at 508-365-1750 to reserve your seats today.

Doors open at 6pm with the first 10,000 fans receiving a magnet schedule presented by Bay State Savings Bank and Davis Advertising.  In addition, the first 10,000 fans will receive a glow in the dark bracelet to enhance the pregame festivities presented by the DCU Center.

A must see national anthem performing artist has been booked to perform before the game at 7:05pm.

Revelation Productions will provide a state-of-the-art pregame experience, which will include a light show and pyrotechnics. Fans are encouraged to be in their seats no later than 6:50pm for the pregame festivities.

Three lucky fans will have the opportunity to participate in SHOOT TO WIN for a chance to win a car courtesy of Prime Ford of Auburn during the second intermission.  For your chance to win, please visit Prime Ford of Auburn between now and opening night.

Doors will open at 6pm with a party like atmosphere scheduled for 5:30pm outside the main DCU Center Lobby.  The puck drop is scheduled for 7:05pm.

“The Railers can’t wait to show off all the hard work we have done over the last 18 plus months to be ready for October 14,” said Railers HC president Mike Myers. “Our goal is to provide a hockey experience unlike anything seen in Worcester before, and I am confident that we will deliver on that promise.  We want an element of surprise on opening night as we expect 12,000 plus. I recommend buying your tickets today to reserve your seat for this must see event.”

The Railers Tavern, located behind the DCU Center, will be open for business before opening night.

Several special guests are scheduled to attend opening night with more details made available in the upcoming weeks.

Any group that reserves a block of tickets of 50 or more for opening night will receive two tickets to meet Hockey Hall of Famer Bobby Orr and former Boston Bruins fan favorite Derek Sanderson during a private meet and greet before the Railers home game on November 11.  Click HERE for more info.
