What is Railers Reading Express?

Railers Reading Express, presented by Cornerstone Bank, is a brand new reading program that encourages students of all ages to read more books! The more books a student reads, the more tickets they can redeem for a Railers game and they will increase their classroom's odds to win a pizza party with TRAX!

 

Program Goal

To encourage children to develop consistent reading habits, celebrate their achievements, and make reading a fun, rewarding experience b connecting literacy with Worcester Railers hockey.

 

What age group is the program open to?

Railers Reading Express is designed for students of all ages.

 

How does Railers Reading Express work? 

Students who read at least 10 books each month will receive one ticket voucher to a future Worcester Railers game. Want to read more than 10 books? No problem! The student who reads the most books in a month will be recognized as a "Reader of the Month" at a Railers game this coming spring.

There is also a classroom challenge where the class who reads the most books from September to April will get a special pizza part with TRAX!

What does a Reading All Star get?

The Reading All Star from each month will receive two tickets, a t-shirt, and the opportunity to watch warm ups from the bench during our Library Legends game on March 6.
