McGuire Wire – July 11th
Hey Railers fans happy Saturday! Cam McGuire here checking in and writing to all of you on Saturday this week instead of Friday due to the player announcement of Connor Doherty re-signing with the club.
In case you missed it earlier this week the Railers announced their first player signing for the 2020-21 season signing veteran forward Jordan Smotherman. This is a huge get for the hockey team as Jordan brings 14 years of professional experience under his belt having played in the NHL and also having won an AHL Calder Cup, CHL Memorial Cup and an EIHL Championship. Jordan is spending the summer nearby in Westborough and Shrewsbury… and swung by the DCU Center on Friday to chat with Bill Ballou and Kevin Shea.
Railers Roundup
Each player signing I will be checking in with each signee via zoom to learn more about the newest members of the Railers and some returners in our video series Railers Roundup. This week I chatted with Jordan Smotherman and Connor Doherty.
