What’s going on guys? Cam McGuire (PR & Social Media Coordinator) checking in as we close out the month of June. Well with the Bruins Game 7 loss about two weeks ago, hockey season is officially over, and we are already looking forward to the fall! It may be June but there is still a lot going on with the #Railers.

Connor Doherty

Last Thursday (6/21) the Railers announced that defenseman Connor Doherty would be back with the Railers for his third season. As a Railer the Holden, MA native has played in 92 games registering 14 points (2-12-14) and 135PIMs. Fast forward a week later and it was announced that Doherty was the recipient of PHPA (Professional Hockey Players’ Association) Best Defensive of Defenseman. Click HERE for the full story.

There is a New Sheriff in Town

The Worcester Railers officially announced the signing of veteran defenseman Bobby Shea to the club on Thursday (6/27). The Harrison Township, MI native has over 250 professional games played and will be a force to wreckin with on the ice. And if it so happens that Mike Cornell is back with the Railers this upcoming season they may have to hug it out on Day 1. Click HERE for a fight back in 2015 when Shea was playing for the AHL Hamilton Bulldogs and Cornell the AHL Charlotte Checkers.

Closing Time

There are officially 106 days until the Railers drop the puck for year number three! Opening night is right around the corner October 12 vs. Adirondack Thunder. If you have any questions shoot me a message at camm@railershc.com.
