The Worcester Railers and Worcester Jr. Railers to donate $16,500 to the Ava Roy Fund
The Worcester Railers hosted a Fill the Boot Night before the game on Dec 21 to benefit the Ava Roy Fund. Through donations collected by the Worcester Fire Department at the game, 50/50 raffles held by the Worcester Railers HC Booster Club, and a donation from the Railers HC Foundation – $10,000 was raised for the Ava Roy Fund.
In addition, the Worcester Junior Railers will donate $5,500 total after their collections made at the Fidelity Bank Worcester Ice Center, a fundraiser at the 99 Restaurant, and a matching $2500 from the Bose Corp.
The Worcester Railers and the Worcester Junior Railers would like to thank all fans that donated during the fundraiser. Our thoughts and prayers are with Firefighter Christopher Roy and the entire Worcester Fire Department Family.
