WORCESTER, MA  –  The Worcester Railers Hockey Club (@RailersHC), proud ECHL (@ECHL) affiliate of the New York Islanders (@NYIslanders), is proud to announce team owner Cliff Rucker and team president Michael G. Myers have been included in the New England Hockey Journal’s 2017 Top 100 most influential people in New England hockey list.

The Journal’s September issue is dedicated to naming the top 100 most influential people in New England hockey. The list includes team owners, team presidents, coaches, writers, and more. On compiling the list of influential people, managing editor Eric Beato writes, “We solicited opinions, we researched candidates, we interviewed experts, we debated (over and over) the criteria and now we unveil our list,” which includes team owner Cliff Rucker and team president Michael G. Myers.

Team owner Cliff Rucker was recognized for his success in returning a professional hockey team to the city of Worcester, and his investment in the building of the Fidelity Bank Worcester Ice Center, a 100,000-square-foot practice facility for the Worcester Railers HC that will feature 40,000 square feet of retail space, two full-size rinks, a restaurant, café, physical therapy center, and gym.
