Hello Railers HC! It’s that time again for the Community Express! We are one week closer to the start of the season. 80 days left…but who’s counting!? It was nice to meet many of you at the Bravehearts game on Saturday. Let’s recap a busy week of events!
Wednesday, July 19th Eric Paslay Concert @ Canal District
The Worcester Railers are sponsoring the Canal District Music Series! It takes place every Wednesday evening. Country music star Eric Paslay performed last week, and it was packed! He put on a great show. Trax got to meet him at the VIP area! Thanks for coming to Worcester, Eric!
Thursday, July 20th Mercantile Center Festival
Trax appeared at Mercantile Center last Thursday for their Beer/Food Truck festival! Trax got to play cornhole and air hockey. Trax and I also passed out pocket schedules to the hundreds of people in attendance! We bumped into Head Coach Jamie Russell too!
Friday, July 21st Jesse Burkett Little League Send Off
The Jesse Burkett Little League Softball All Stars won the state championship and had a sendoff celebration last Friday. Trax and Jake the Lion appeared and took pictures with the team.
Saturday, July 22nd Woo Challenge
Trax arrived bright and early at Woo Challenge last Saturday. He greeted everyone in attendance and then challenged some kids to some obstacles! It was a beautiful morning and we already can’t wait to be back next year.
Saturday, July 22nd Railers Night at the Bravehearts
One of the coolest events of the year took place Saturday night! It was Hockey Night at the Bravehearts! I got to meet so many of our HC Members! I also got to go on the field for the opening ceremonies and see some of our newly signed players throw out the first pitch! For more photos check out our Facebook Page!
Sunday, July 23rd George St. Bike Challenge
Our first event on Sunday was super exciting! People took turns trying to cycle up George Street as fast as they can. This street is a giant hill. It was so amazing to see the Worcester community cheer on the riders as they struggled to bike up the hill. Congrats to all the competitors.
Sunday, July 23rd Little League State Championship
This was a quick event, but we enjoyed cheering on Braintree and Brookline as they competed in the State Championship for Little League at Swenson Field in Holden. Trax wanted to take home a trophy, but I told him to wait for the Kelly Cup!
Monday, July 24th Sweed Hands Hockey Practice
We surprised a bunch of female hockey players Monday evening at Buffone Arena. They belong to a stick handling club called Sweed Hands Hockey! Trax had a fun time skating with them on the ice!
