Hello everyone,
It’s time for another Community Express update! Trax and I had yet another busy weekend together.
Friday, June 23rd Worcester Airport Course
Last Friday, our Front Office gathered together as a group to participate in Worcester Regional Airport’s obstacle course to celebrate their 400,000th passenger. Events included a tire flip, tarmac run, and a luggage cart push, as Trax will show you below. Our team ended up placing third, losing to Worcester Fire Dept. and Worcester Police. We’ll be back next year to take first place!
Saturday, June 24th Gardner Street Hockey
Our first of five events Saturday had us playing street hockey with young athletes from the Gardner area. Trax made it just in time for the group picture seen below. After street hockey ended, the kids grabbed a bite to eat. Seeing how there were no dog treats available for Trax, we headed off to our next event.
Saturday, June 24th Jake Bratkon Memorial Car Show
Jake Bratkon was a senior in High School when he lost his life in a car accident in 2011. Every year since, a memorial car show has been put on to remember him and his love for cars. Once we arrived, we were told to drive right up and park the Railers Raptor in the show lot! Trax made his way around the event rather smoothly until the Holden Fire Dept. caught him trying to sneak in their emergency vehicle!
Saturday, June 24th Fitchburg Street Hockey
Our second street hockey event of the day took place in Fitchburg. Trax was bending the rules, as seen below, by cheering on these athletes as they played.
Saturday, June 24th Burkett Little League Spree Day / Drive in Movie
It was so nice out Saturday that Trax’s head was out the window as we drove back to Worcester for Jesse Burkett Little League’s Spree Day. These kids were enjoying an afternoon full of activities before playing in games later that night and then returning to WSU for a showing of the Sandlot on the softball field. What a great day!
Sunday, June 25th Rock and Walk for Babies @Algonquin Regional High School
Trax arrived at Algonquin Sunday to support those who were walking for their loved ones who were lost either by miscarriage or an infancy death. Trax got to play ladderball with a new friend. Later that day, Trax got to practice playing cornhole…watch out ECHL, Trax is coming for the title at the league meetings next year!
All aboard the Community Express! Trax will be busy this week. Catch him…
