May 15, 2017
Hey Fans,
Community Jill here giving you an update on all things community!
On Saturday, May 6th TRAX started off the morning at the 2017 Central Mass Heart walk at DCR’s Quinsigamond State Park. The Rain held off just long enough for the walk to begin and TRAX to make it to shelter, after running into the tooth fairy that is!
Once TRAX made it safely inside the Buffone Arena, and after a little bit of shaking to dry off…. he cheered on the Rusty Blades at their relay for life hockey game. Their blades might be rusty but let me tell you their skills are still sharp.
On Sunday, May 7th TRAX Marched with Worcester Ty Cobb for their Opening Day Parade. It was quite the walk down Stafford and up James Street but TRAX and all the kiddos made it!
On Thursday, May 11th TRAX myself and the Railers crew attended the UMASS Cancer breakfast and donated $7,500 from the Railers Foundation to the UMASS Cancer Walk & Run!
On Saturday, May 13th TRAX ventured out into the cold rainy weather again for the Easter Seals Walk With Me 5k at Elm park in Worcester. Despite the cold TRAX had a blast playing yard games and kicking off the walk!
NEXT STOP ON THE COMMUNITY EXPRESS :
Saturday, May 20th– TRAX will be selling plants from 12-1pm with our sponsors at Harvard Pilgrim for the Harvard Pilgrim Plant Sale at Worcester Common. Swing by and buy your plants!
