Welcome to Monkey Wrenches Weekend!

For one weekend only - the Railers are rebranding as the Worcester Monkey Wrenches! Invented in Worcester in 1840, we'll be paying tribute to not just the Monkey Wrench, but to the entire city of Worcester and its rich history of innovation! We'll have 3 logos, a specialty jersey, new merch, a reversible bucket hat giveaway on Saturday, and more, so get ready for a fun filled weekend! Scroll down for more info and tickets!

Why Monkey Wrenches?

The Monkey Wrench was invented by Loring Coes & Coes Wrench Company of Worcester, MA in 1840. During the industrial era of the 1860s-1910s, various monkey wrench types were the dominant form of adjustable wrench. A very wide and popular range of monkey wrenches were manufactured by Coes family partnerships, licensees and companies, which filed further wrench patents throughout the 19th century. In 1909, the Coes Wrench Company advertised a six-foot-long "key" wrench, shaped like a monkey wrench, for use on railroads, relating back to the Railers. Worcester Monkey Wrenches Weekend is a weekend to celebrate innovation and the city of Worcester!

$10 Kids Tickets - Presented by the MBTA Commuter Rail

Available for every Sunday game during the Worcester Railers 2025-26 season! For each adult ticket purchased, you'll be eligible to purchase one kids ticket for the low price of $10!
