Click HERE for a printable 2020-21 Worcester Railers HC home schedule. I will break down the entire home schedule in a bit, but first I need to give you an update on a new hobby I’ve picked up: inflatable kayaking.

Yes, you read that correctly. A couple of weeks ago, I purchased a two-seater inflatable kayak which I have now taken out twice on Lake Quinsigamond. Let me tell you, it is probably one of the top three purchases I’ve made in my life. You can follow along with my kayaking adventures on Twitter, where I’ll be giving updates all summer long: @cammcguire21. Alright, it’s time to closely examine the Railers home schedule and take a look at who the Railers will be playing at the DCU Center this season, when they will be playing, and more.

Monthly Breakdown

The Railers will play 36 games at the DCU Center this season, which includes a jammed packed month of January where they will play NINE games highlighted by Star Wars Night on Jan. 30th. Of the 36 home games, 23 of them will be played in 2021. The nine home games played in the month of January in 2021 will be the second most games played at the DCU Center in a single month in franchise history (tied with nine in December of 2018), and just one behind the ten games the Railers played in March of 2018. See below for a complete breakdown of games per month in franchise history. (Note that in 2019-20, Worcester missed out on three home games in March and April due to the cancellation of the season.)

Home 3-in-3 Weekends

The Railers will play three home 3-in-3’s, all of which will occur in 2021. Perhaps the most interesting takeaway from the 3-in-3’s this upcoming season is that each weekend, the three games will be against the same opponent, which has never happened before. I would imagine that by the time Sunday rolls around, there will be some heated rivalries on the ice.

  • Jan. 29 – Jan. 31 vs. Utah Grizzlies

  • Mar. 19 – Mar. 21 vs. Newfoundland Growlers

Well, that’s a wrap on examining the Railers home schedule and the 16 games we can figure out on the road for the 2020-21 season. Therefore, 52 of the 72 games are set. The other 20… we will have to wait and see.

It’s been real, but I can hear my kayak calling my name… I hope everyone has a great weekend, and Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there! 127 days until Opening Night on October 24th!!

Until next time, so long my friends.
