Effective Games: November 2021 – February 2022. Updated mask policy coming soon.
Included below is a list of recent health and safety protocols for our game patrons that have been implemented for safety purposes relating to COVID-19. Worcester Railers HC appreciates your compliance with these protocols, as they will allow our team to continue to play ECHL hockey in Worcester with all of our fans present. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
City of Worcester Mask Mandate
The City of Worcester has put into effect a mask mandate requiring the use of face coverings or masks in all indoor spaces open to the public. Patrons attending a Railers game at the DCU Center are expected to wear a face covering unless seated in your assigned seat location and actively eating or drinking. Additional information is available on the City of Worcester website. While 6’ distancing will not be required at this time, limited congregating and distancing will be encouraged on the concourse.
No Bag Policy
In an effort to prevent long lines, the DCU Center has implemented a no-bag policy. Small bags or wristlets measuring no more than 5 by 7 inches will be allowed. Medical and diaper bags will also be permitted after inspection.
Cash Free Concessions
Cash will not be accepted at most concession stands on the DCU Center concourse. Cash will only be accepted at the north Grand Stand located near Section 122/123.
Health Focused Upgrades
Over the past eighteen months, the DCU Center has invested in a multitude of health-focused upgrades to keep patrons safe. Major investments have been made to HVAC systems with an ionization protocol in the arena, increased touchless restroom fixtures have been installed, sanitization stations have been added throughout the facility, line management systems, and touchless options have been added to concession stands. During the season, this will be increased but, due to COVID supply chain issues, the equipment has been back ordered.
Please note, the Railers will continue to evaluate best practices and protocols may change. We thank you in advance for your patience as we return to the ice and ask for your compliance of all changes in an effort to keep our attendees safe and allow us to continue to host hockey in Worcester.
