Hey Worcester Railers fans!
Community Jill checking in to bring you your weekly dose of community. In case you missed it our Facebook page reached 4,000 likes, I feel like I have 4,000 new friends to talk to everyday, so thank you fans! I look forward to meeting all of you at our Skate to The Date event on October 14th where I will lace up my skates for the first time in…… let’s just say a while, it should be interesting! Not as interesting as the weekend I had with TRAX while we danced like we have never danced before at many great events.
We attended our last cookout of the summer at the Saint Gobain United Way Campaign Kick Off Rally. The campaign was kicked off with a $165,000 corporate gift from Saint-Gobain’s Glenn Knowlton. TRAX had so much fun playing all the games with Jake, while my favorite part had to be the icecream trucks!
September 22 was the last day of summer, or was it the first day of fall? Whatever your answer is, I’m ready for the apple cider, donuts, pumpkin spice everything, hikes, and fall festivals!
TRAX and I kicked off fall at the American Diabetes Association Step Out Walk to Stop Diabetes on September 24. We cheered on all the walkers as they crossed the starting line with our friends Wally The Green Monster and Jake!
Saturday was a busy day for us. TRAX and I packed up the car and headed to Wachusett Mountain to meet up with the rest of The Railers front office for Kids Fest. What a blast that was! I became a professional at applying our new waterless tattoos in a matter of seconds, our corn-hole set was broken in and TRAX made many new friends! My favorite part of the weekend hands down, was the sky ride to the top of the mountain with TRAX. People riding by were very confused as to how and why he got on the chair lift, it made for an interesting ride!
