Community Express (8/15-8/22)

What’s up Railers fans!? Only 59 days until Railers Hockey returns to the DCU Center on October 20th! Who’s excited!? Welcome back to another Community Express Community Recap! We’ve been staying busy here…things are only going to pick up as we get closer to October! If you see us out and about, be sure to take a photo and tag @Trax_RailersHC on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook! We’ll share our favorites. We’ve been working on a community project at Lake View Elementary School for the past few months now and just recently, we started working on a library makeover! Phase one had us paint the walls, similar to the design of our locker room! Phase two took place today… we assembled furniture and created a Railers cabinet that is a mini home for many of our first year giveaways! We can’t wait to showcase this project at a later date!

Last night, the Railers Booster Club and I got together at the Worcester Ice Center to pack school supplies in over 60 backpacks! These backpacks will be dropped off at the Friendly House here in Worcester and later distributed to local students in need. Thank you Boosters!!

We will be at a huuuge event this Saturday and hope to see many of you there! We will be at Holden Days, a large community festival in Holden. We’ll have our ticket table, prize wheel, shootout, and of course, Trax! See you there!

Thursday, August 16 – Shaw Elementary School

Last week, Trax went to Shaw Elementary School for an evening of fun! There was free ice cream and dancing. Trax also got a game of kickball going with the Elementary School Students.

Monday, August 20 – Adopt a Student Golf Tournament

On Monday, a couple members of our office got to play a round of golf at the Adopt A Student Golf Tournament at Worcester Country Club. They surprisingly did pretty well!! Once they finished golfing, Trax and I went over and crashed the dinner party. We promoted the fact that Railers hockey returns in under two months!!
